Power Trip

Funny little storm yesterday. I was in the middle of trying to find some Mac-related answers online to prevent my chucking my Macs out the window, when it started raining. Lightly at first, and a complete downpour within a minute or two. And wind. It was blowing so hard it rearranged the gravel on the roof, much of it winding up on the ground.

This being San Francisco, of course the power went out shortly after the first drop hit the ground, interrupting my research. More or less all of the Outer Sunset was in the dark, so, naturally, I went out for a martini. Also just as naturally, my enjoyment of this spectacularly-made martini was ruined by one of our many Sunset Village Idiots lurching through the door, declaring "I've been drinking all weekend!" Personally, if I've been soaking my head all weekend, I try to do the world a favor by staying indoors and keeping my yap shut. Bartender says, "Karl, sit down and shut up." I left.

Less than 90 minutes from the first drop until the power came back on. A nice little mini-adventure.

About six or seven new songs in the works; some new originals I'm pretty excited about, a theme song for my soon-to-be-launched podcast thingy, and a funky old Paul McCartney & Wings tune called "Wino Junko." Liking it so far.
